What is Shafer Racing?

Shafer Racing is a faith-based family go kart racing team located in Berrien Springs, MI.

Our Drivers consist of our 13 year-old son Caiden, and 10 year-old daughter Kinsley.

I'm their dad, Brad, and my lovely wife Kayleigh all help make this thing go round; literally.

We wouldn't make it much further than our driveway without our caring, generous sponsors, and mostly importantly the love and grace we receive from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

2021 SEASON REVIEW

Caiden's first year racing. Started with an old flathead engine. Ran 6 races, between 3 tracks.

2022 SEASON REVIEW

Year 2. Primarily Stateline Speedway, OH. First Heat Race win. 2nd in points.

2023 SEASON REVIEW

First Feature win, most races ever. (18) Caiden raced two different karts...and Kinsley Shafer made her racing debut

We lost one of the most special people in our lives, our grandma. This, along with other reasons, we raced a very limited schedule.

2025 SEASON REVIEW

10 races. 4 tracks. First year with the Michigan Winged Outlaws.
